Water

What can be more essential than water?  Let’s conserve and protect our clean water in any way we can.  Low flow is the way to go!

Did You Know?

  • Americans now use 127% more water than we did in 1950
  • Many people in the world exist on 3 gallons of water per day or less. We can use that amount in one flush of the toilet.
  • About 95% of the water entering our homes goes down the drain.

What Can You Do?

Here are some tips to help you conserve water, listed easiest to most difficult. Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself!

1)   Don’t leave water running while washing, brushing, or shaving. Each minute saves three to five gallons

2)   Wash only full loads of laundry. Doing so can save as much as 5,200 gallons of water each year

3)   Buy Energy Star-rated machines. Energy Star washers use at least 20% less energy and water!
